Have you ever wondered how some people have the time to keep their rides looking new, especially after a muddy ride? Well, here's a little trick we've learned to keep our rides in tip-top shape.
Disclaimer - We are not experts on cleaning, nor are we the experts on chemicals and how they act when used on plastics, metals, fabrics, or any other surface. This is simply a method we've seen work, and how we choose to clean our machines. Always do the proper research before using harsh cleaning agents.
First and foremost, get everything you need. Here's what we have, and it seems to be working:
- Foam Cannon (We chose this one on Amazon)
- 2700 PSI Pressure Washer
- Zep Purple, Industrial Degreaser
- Tide Laundry Detergent
Note: Remove the seats prior to washing.
Step 1: Mix 1 Cup of the Zep + 1 Cup of the Tide into the Foam Cannon, and fill the remainder with water.
Step 2: Connect the Foam Cannon to your pressure washer and begin spraying down the machine. We typically go over the entire machine 2 times, unless it's pretty dirty, then we repeat a 3rd time.
Step 3: Use your pressure washer high-pressure nozzle to clean the foam and remaining dirt away.
Step 4: Wipe down with a dry rag, then let air-dry.
Step 5: Spray the metals and plastics down with Pledge furniture polish, and wipe clean. This will leave you with a nice and shiny machine, and will also help the dirt to fall of easier after the next ride.
